This large, sun-filled, luxurious one-bedroom suite on the main level can be used by a family or as a meeting/retreat/ conference room for a group. The huge, bright living/dining room has hardwood floors, comfortable seating areas and a magnificent panoramic view of the water and garden. A wood-burning pink granite fireplace, big cozy couch and chairs, cable TV, VCR, CD player and a large selection of books and CD's will make you cozy and relaxed. Locally-crafted cherry cabinetry and wrought iron fittings, antique toys, plants and original art decorate this luxurious space. The cherry dining table will seat a group of 8 to 10 people. A glass door leads to a large deck which sits in the midst of the cedars surveying the lake. The custom-built cherry kitchen with deep-blue counters is fully equipped for a family or entertaining, with lots of dishes and handmade pottery. A laundry room is included in the suite. The bedroom has a Queen bed covered by a gorgeous handmade quilt, based on an old Nova Scotia pattern, and antique cherrywood furniture. A cherry desk and antique chairs can give you a private space. A comfortable chair and ottoman look out to the lake and sky through the two big windows. Chinese silk embroideries, a chalk drawing of a nude and antique iron toys decorate the room. In the living room, the couch folds out to a Queen bed in front of the fireplace, an extra place for friends or children. The blue-green bathroom contains a big white shower with a seat, a cherry vanity and mirror and a ceramic owl who gazes down at you. |
